WORLD’S FAIR, PARIS, 1900 AND OTHER EVENTS SUPERB ALBUM OF POSTCARDS A significant collection of postcards featuring the 1900 World’s Fair, the 1925 Decorative Arts Exhibition, the 1931 Colonial Exhibition, the 1906 and 1907 International Automobile Exhibitions, 1910, the 1907 Paris Horticultural Exposition, World War I, Réjane, Sarah Bernhardt, and Liane de Pougy. Among the monuments and pavilions of the 1900 World’s Fair were the pavilions of Serbia, Belgium, and the United States; the Esplanade des Invalides; the Palais de l’Électricité; the Grand Palais; the Lefèvre-Utile Exhibition, the Alexandre III Bridge, the Trocadéro Basin, the Tonkinese Pagoda, the Monumental Gate, the Eiffel Tower, the moving walkway, the Salle des Fêtes, the Petit Palais, the Civil Engineering Palace, Old Paris, the German and Swedish pavilions, the lake at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the Cambodian Palace, the map of France made of precious stones gifted by Nicholas II, … Most of them are inscribed. In an album with Art Nouveau-style appliqué decoration made of patinated and painted metal.
