WORLD’S FAIR, PARIS, 1889 SCALE MODEL OF THE EIFFEL TOWER Cut wood, with openwork latticework decoration. The railings of the first two platforms are adorned with the coat of arms of the City of Paris, surmounted by the crown of Cybele. The base bears the inscription “1889.” The scale model is topped by a gazebo. 1889. Height: 92 cm; Width: 35 cm; Depth: 35 cm. Minor missing pieces and damage. This type of scale model, increasingly rare on the market, was offered to visitors who came to see the Iron Lady.
