WORLD’S FAIR, PARIS, 1889 GUSTAVE EIFFEL (1832–1923) – RISER FROM ONE OF THE STAIRCASES OF THE EIFFEL TOWER Puddled and riveted iron, rectangular in shape. Height: 21.5 cm; Length: 64 cm. Shows signs of use. This piece comes from the spiral staircase that connected the second and third floors of the Eiffel Tower. PROVENANCE. Purchased at the auction on December 1, 1983.
