We would like to thank Mr. Philippe Bouchet, an expert on the work of Edouard Pignon (1905–1993), for clarifying the title and providing the following information: “This work foreshadowed his large painting (195 x 273 cm) from 1983–1984 with the identical title, which was featured on the poster, the invitation card, and the cover of the catalog for Edouard Pignon’s retrospective exhibition at the Galeries nationales du Grand Palais from February 22 to April 15, 1985.”
