CERAMINE CARPET - Lot 244
CERAMINE CARPET Cotton warp and weft, wool pile. This rug features the mina khani motif, composed of large, rounded daisy-like flowers linked by stems, on a navy blue background. This pattern is probably a Kurdish interpretation of the herati motif. A red border with flower garlands is framed by four counter-borders. Central Persia, circa 1940-1970. 348 x 228 cm. Slight wear and fraying.
