as a Roman soldier on the ruins
of Carthage, with his helmet and sword at his side, the circular dial surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves, the movement signed Hémon Paris, the Sienna yellow marble base adorned with a frieze of acanthus leaves resting on straight legs decorated with stylized palmettes.
