Set In wood (resinous) with polychrome painted decorations of a queen holding a heart in her clasped hands (Reine de Cœur?) and a man, in 18th century garb, on the lid. Opens with a metal-hinged flap. The body is underlined by two baguettes and decorated with hearts from which bouquets sprout, and with undulating lines underlining the borders. The sides are adorned with a large bouquet of flowers framed by two doves. German-speaking countries, 20th century Dimensions: 23 x 41.1 x 23.5 cm Refixed base, added feet, cracks
