Naval officer's present saber, model 1837. Bronze and horn mounting. Oval cap joined to the guard, decorated with a row of scallops. Joining arch connecting the openwork plate decorated with a naval anchor, slightly curved dogfish quillon. Filigreed horn spindle. Slightly curved blade with groove and gutter by Coulaux in Klingenthal. Back scabbard, attached. Total length: 83 cm France, mid-19th century.
