Necessary case containing a percussion pistol by "GASTINNE R - Lot 36

Necessary case containing a percussion pistol by "GASTINNE RENETTE", octagonal barrel decorated with fluting, blued steel, signed on top "INV GASTINNE RENETTE À PARIS". Rifled 11 mm caliber. Flat-body lock finely engraved with foliage, signed "GASTINNE RENETTE". Blued iron fittings, trigger guard monogrammed "CC" surmounted by a count's crown. Breech loading by means of a lever from the trigger guard, grained walnut stock with short barrel, checkered grip, engraved and case-hardened oval cap. Length: 41 cm. Mahogany case adorned with a "C.C" coat of arms surmounted by a comtal crown. Interior lined with blue felt, signed inside the lid in gold lettering "GASTINNE RENETTE À PARIS", complete with all accessories. Dimensions: 46.5 x 21.5 x 8 cm. Circa 1870 - 1880. Very good condition.
