MIRZA MORIC (b. 1954) Crapeau ailé Ceramic, enamelled metallic green. Signed. 16 x 27 x 26.5 cm. Born in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1954 and a graduate of the Sarajevo Academy of Fine Arts, Mirza Moric moved to Paris in 1977. The artist uses marble, stone and ceramics to create works combining realism and spirituality.
Mirza Moric has created numerous monumental sculptures combining human and animal figures, the latest of which, entitled "Oiseau de la Paix" (Bird of Peace), was installed on the Pont de Tolbiac in Paris in 2024, and will be exhibited in The Hague, Netherlands, at the end of June 2025. It symbolically embodies freedom and peace, two values defended by the artist.
