FRENCH PAINTER OF THE LATE 19th CENTURY Napoleon I and Josephine de Beauharnais Two miniatures, oval view, set in a chased and gilded wood and metal frame, with applied decoration of scenes depicting the four seasons, a fire pot and a crown shouldered with horns of plenty, the pediment openwork with palmettes and foliage. Signed Derval. Each miniature. 7.2 x 5.2 cm. Frame. 19.5 x 21.8 cm. Slight deformations to the frame.
