ORIGINAL EDITION of Agnolo Firenzuola's translation of the Golden Ass, the second Italian version of the work after Matteo Maria Boiardo's Apulegio volgare, published in Venice in 1518.
Printer's mark on title and last leaf; engraved historiated initials.
From the Nicolas Antoine Labbey de Billy library, with wet stamp "Ex Bibliotheca Billiana" on verso of title; ex-libris and wet stamp on title repeated on folios D6 and I10, unidentified.
Minor worm damage to the first two leaves; slight foxing.
