JEANNE FLORENTINE BOURGEOIS DITE MISTINGUETT (1875-1956)
LETTER TO MONSIEUR ANDRÉ BAZAUD
Handwritten letter dated March 26, 1934 from Mistinguett to Mr. André Bazaud, honorary president of the Montmorency sports association.
"Dear Mr. Bazaud,
It would have been a great pleasure for me to respond favorably to the request contained in your letter of March 21, but unfortunately I am unable to do so, as I have a matinee and evening performance on May 5 and 6 at the Folies-Bergères, i.e. four performances in two days.
I would have been delighted to attend your party on May 5, and I'm sorry I can't be with you on that occasion.
Please be assured of my deepest regrets and believe that I will nevertheless be with you wholeheartedly, and accept, dear Sir, the expression of my best wishes.
