EIFFEL TOWER ASCENT MEDAL, USINE MÉTALLURGIQUE PARISIENNE, CHARLES TROTIN (1833-1904)
Copper, with the obverse inscription: "Souvenir de mon ascension au sommet de la Tour Eiffel - 1889" and the engraving of the holder's name "P. Magué". On the reverse, the Eiffel Tower and various Parisian and foreign monuments such as St. Peter's in Rome and the Pyramid of Gyzeh.
In a cardboard box, the lid of which reproduces the decoration on the reverse of the medal, the inside of the lid bearing the stamp "Usine métallurgique parisienne 176, quai Jemmapes".
Diameter: 4.2cm.
At the 1889 Exposition Universelle, this medal was given to visitors who took the spiral staircase to the top.
