WORLD'S FAIR, PARIS, 1889 MODEL OF THE EIFFEL TOWER Carved wood, with openwork decoration of lattices and poly-lobed motifs. The railings of the first two platforms are adorned with the coat of arms of the City of Paris, surmounted by the crown of Cybele. The balustrade on the first platform houses (part of) a clock. The feet bear the inscription "1889". The scale model is topped by a gazebo. 1889. Height. 92cm; Width. 35cm; Depth. 35cm. Missing parts, accidents. This type of scale model, increasingly rare on the market, was offered to visitors discovering the Iron Lady.
