*NEPAL - 17th CENTURY PECTORAL NECKLACE Embossed copper, with traces of gilding and lacquer, decorated with divinities in medallions, the central medallion featuring a representation of Durga. Leaf-shaped pendants. Inscription on the front: "Sri sri Pratapa Malla deviya" ("Pratapa Malla to the goddess"). Pratapa Malla (r. 1641- 1674) was the eighth king of the Mala kingdom of Kathmandu. L. 29 cm. Reinforcement at the bottom of the necklace, missing pendants.
