COFFRET. Rectangular with domed lid, the inlaid decoration in ombré wood on an ebony ground of confronted chimeras, foliage scrolls and a cartouche in the center of the lid. Keyhole and side grips in chased and gilded bronze with men's heads. Louis XIV period, probably Dutch. Interior lined with red velvet. 17 x 42 x 28.5 cm. Restorations, a few chips and dents.
