WORLD EXHIBITION, PARIS 1889. ABSINTHE SPOON. Chromium-plated brass, the openwork spoon featuring the emblem of the Joanne absinthe brand with the Savoy cross, surrounded by scrolls of absinthe leaves and engraved with the inscription "Absinthe Joanne, médaille d'or Paris 1889". Marked A. Laussedat, Paris. The Joanne distillery was located quai de la Tournelle in Paris, then, after 1885, in Ivry-sur-Seine. Length. 16,4 cm.
