EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE, PARIS, 1889 ATTRIBUTED TO CHARLES TROTIN (1833-1904) REUNION OF FIVE EIFFEL TOWER ASCENSION MEDALS Copper, circular in shape, two with medallic patinas, two silver, two gold, inscribed, on the obverse: "Work began on January 27, 1887, the monument was inaugurated on May 6, 1889", accompanied by a representation of the Eiffel Tower (300 m) overlooking the Invalides (165 m), Notre Dame (66 m), the Cologne Cathedral (159 m), the Opera (58 m), the Great Pyramid (146 m), the Pantheon (83 m), St. Peter's of Rome (132 m), the Arc de Triomphe (45 m), the cathedral of Rouen (150 m), the Obelisk of Washington (169 m), and, on the reverse: "Souvenir de mon ascension au 1e étage de la Tour Eiffel, 1889".
