NOMINATIVE PLATE OF THE RAMBUTEAU STREET Enamelled iron, rectangular in shape, inscribed "rue Rambuteau" in white letters on a blue background, the green frame. In his original iron armarture. Second half of the 19th century. 41 x 61 cm. PROVENANCE. This plaque was fixed outside a pavilion of the Halles Centrales de Paris along rue Rambuteau. It bears the name of the Prefect of the Seine from 1833 to 1848, Claude Philibert Berthelot, Count of Rambuteau, who decided to create the said street in 1834. Demolition site of the Central Halls, 1971.
