(HAUSSMANN GEORGES EUGÈNE, BARON (1809-1891)). Handwritten notarized deed dated January 27, 1862 of exchange between M. le Comte d'Haubersart and the City of Paris, before Me Marcel Chandru, notary in Paris of land located on Boulevard Beaujon. In this notarized deed the City of Paris is represented by Mr. Georges Eugène Haussmann, Senator, Prefect of the Department of the Seine, residing in Paris at the Hôtel de Ville. Boulevard Beaujon (Avenue de Friedland since 1864), which was not very urbanized in 1862, was one of the areas most favored by Baron Haussmann for his ambitious urban planning scheme for Paris.
