Les Champs-Élysées Coloured pencil drawing, bears the stamp of the sale of the workshop at the bottom right. 20 x 26 cm. PROVENANCE. Henri Edmond Cross workshop 1856-1910, Hôtel Drouot, Paris, October 28, 1921. Old collection Victor and Marguerite Bossuat. Since then, she has remained in the family. To be compared to the five-colour lithograph (20.2 x 26.2 cm), unsigned, published out of text in Pan in 1898. Isabelle Compin's catalogue raisonné, Quatre Chemins-Editart, 1964, states on page 48: In the autumn of 1898, on the initiative of this Berlin patron[Count Harry Kesler], appeared in the "Pan", a luxurious German magazine devoted to modern art and literature... original prints by various neo-impressionists, including a colour lithograph by Cross: "Les Champs-Élysées". Isabelle Compin also mentions page 338: "A sketch page, H. 0.237 x L. 0.31 m., with coloured pencils for this lithograph belongs to M. and Mrs. H. Perls, New York".
