SUCCESSION ÉRIC MOUSSEL
WHEN OBJECTS DECIDE THEIR DESTINY...

Begun at the end of the 17th century, this country residence, organised in the manner of a farmhouse, around a large courtyard, is today drowned in the centre of the town of Fontenay-sous-Bois. Enlarged in several stages in the 18th and 19th centuries, it is extended by one of the last large private parks in the inner suburbs of Paris, a stone's throw from the Bois de Vincennes.
>A. BOISSEAU, owner and manager of a very prosperous neighbouring aluminium foundry, acquired it at the end of the 19th century.

He bequeathed the foundry to his son-in-law, who passed it on himself to Michel Moussel, his son.
However, he settled in the house of Fontenay-sous-Bois, whose Proustian charm he loved, but never ceased to change the decor.
His nephews and nieces commissioned us to proceed with the dispersal of the collection, which, something unusual, will find its way back to our auction house, where a chapter of its history was written.

The furniture and objects leave the mansion and its crazy herbs. They are unravelling from their tangle, from the dust that covers them, from the sheets that cover them, to find a new destiny.

The whole is intact, "in its juice", Éric Moussel never having a single restoration carried out.
