PICON Menu holder for the centenary of the Apéritif Picon (1837-1937). Aperitif created by Gaétan Picon during a stay in Algeria and marketed in 1837. The Picon aperitif was a worldwide success as early as 1850 and was crowned at the London World Fair in 1862. Format: rectangular cardboard, double page. Illustration: Orientalist theme, with Spahis and Algerian. In reference to the past of the young Gaëtan Picon in Algeria. The Picon, before its known name, was called "Algerian Amer". 35 x 26 cm.
