DUQUESNE Glaoid advertising thermometer for agricultural food Duquesne. Duquesne, still in business, was founded in 1883 in Montfort-sur-Isle in Normandy. The Duquesne were the precursors of agricultural animal feed long before the large groups created after the First World War (Neolait, Provini, Gaucher, Nestlé). Duquesne remained the first brand on the market in the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and became Purina in 1960. The famous Duquesne pâtée for animals, was invented by Amédée Duquesne in 1888. Format: rectangular, flat, with light edges, including a working thermometer. Illustration: chick under different temperatures, by Jean Louis PESCH (born in 1928), creator of the comic strip Sylvain et Sylvette. Imp: France Thermometer, Paris, Uzerche. 1950. 10 x 25 cm.
