Georges DEVRED (1887-1932) - AGENCE ROL (1904-1937) HOMELESS WAITING FOR THE OPENING OF THE RESTAURANT AT THE PALAIS DE LA FEMME Silver print depicting the Salvation Army restaurant at the Palais de la Femme, "the largest women's restaurant in Paris", the front door decorated with a "Bon Noël" garland. On the back, stamped "Agence Rol G. Devred, 4, Rue Richer, Paris - IXe" and handwritten inscriptions "à 800 sans logis de Paris - Au Palais de la femme, 94, Rue de Charonne. The homeless waiting for the opening". C. 1920-1930 Height. 11 cm; Width. 15.5 cm. Photographer Georges DEVRED, who had worked for the Rol agency since 1911, took over the reins between 1923 and 1932. The agency moved to 4, Rue Richer around 1908.
