Attached: ALBUM OF PRESS CUTTINGS relating to the production of "La Grande Duchesse", composed by Germaine Roger, for the performances of Paris (Gaité Lyrique), Geneva (Grand Théâtre), Monte Carlo (Opéra) and in the provinces, programme of the show, with autograph in ink, signed from Marcel Cerdan to Mr Montjoie. La Grande Duchesse, Jacques Offenbach's Opéra Bouffe, produced in 1948 at the Théâtre de la Gaité Lyrique in Paris and in various European venues by Henri Montjoye, was directed by Louis Musy and Henri Montjoye, with Germaine Roger as the Grand Duchess, Jacques Jansen as Frantz, Jeanne Perriat as the Baroness Ortrude. ARCHIVES OF THE SINGING GERMAINE ROGER Comprising an exceptional collection of set and costume projects by Henry-Raymond Fost The light soprano Victoria Calixte Bousquet, known as Germaine Roger, born on February 12, 1910 in Marseille, made her Paris debut at the Théâtre de la Gaîté-Lyrique. She then divided herself between the repertoire (Mam'zelle Nitouche) and creations by Albert Willemetz, Josef Szulc, Georges van Parys, Louis Beydts or Maurice Yvain. She also began a career in film and became the star of Vincent Scotto's operettas on screen: Trois de la marine (1934), Un de la Canebière (1938, where she performed Le Plus Beau Tango du monde, in duo with Alibert), Les Gangsters du Château d'If (1939).
